Returns & Refund Policy

At Personified.uk, we take immense pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our custom laser-engraved products. Because every item is uniquely created to your specific requirements, our returns policy differs slightly from standard retail stores.

Please read the following carefully to understand your rights and our obligations.

1. Personalized & Custom Items

As our products are made to order and permanently engraved with your specific text, images, or designs, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for "change of mind."

Once an order has entered our production process, it cannot be cancelled or altered. This is in accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which exempts "goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised" from the standard right to cancel.

Please Check Your Spelling: We engrave exactly what you type. We are not responsible for spelling errors, incorrect dates, or typos made by the customer during the ordering process. Please double-check all personalization details before submitting your order.

2. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

While we inspect every item, mistakes or shipping damage can occasionally occur. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or if we have made an error in the engraving (e.g., we spelled it differently than your order form):

  1. Contact Us Immediately: Please email us at Personifieduk@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery.

  2. Provide Proof: You must attach clear photos of the damage or the engraving error, along with your Order Number.

  3. Resolution: If the fault is ours or the carrier's, we will offer you a free replacement immediately. If a replacement is not possible, we will issue a full refund.

Note: For natural materials (like wood, leather, or slate), variations in grain, texture, and colour are natural characteristics, not defects. A refund will not be issued for natural material variations.

3. Non-Personalized Items

If you purchase an item from us that is not customized (e.g., a standard "Home" sign with no specific names/dates), you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods.

  • The item must be unused and in its original packaging.

  • You are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

  • Once we receive the item, we will refund the cost of the product (excluding shipping costs).

4. How to Request a Return

To start a return or report a problem:

  1. Email Personifieduk@gmail.com with the subject line "Return Request - Order #[Your Order Number]".

  2. Include the reason for the return and photos if applicable.

  3. Wait for our approval before mailing any items back. We may not require you to return a broken personalized item if photo evidence is sufficient.

5. Refunds

If a refund is approved:

  • We will process the refund to your original payment method.

  • Please allow 5–10 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
